Product Description

The Ferro Rotary Drum Pre-Cleaner is specifically designed to handle the high levels of contamination present in cottonseed obtained from the ginning process. It efficiently removes un-ginned cotton bolls, leaves, trash, suspended plastics, larger impurities, and fine dust, ensuring effective pre-cleaning.

Applications:
Suitable for cottonseed, soybean, sunflower seed, castor seed, and rice bran. It can also be adapted for other oil-seeds with customized modifications.

Operational Procedure:
Cottonseed is fed through a rotary feeder into the inlet of an inclined rotary drum. As the drum rotates, the seeds move forward in a tumbling action. During this process, larger impurities such as cotton leaves, sticks, un-ginned cotton, and threads are separated and collected in the end hopper.

The partially cleaned seeds then pass through a specially designed double-deck conveyor system, which further removes fine impurities such as dust and smaller particles. The final cleaned seeds are collected at the discharge end.
